St. Anne's Altar Society is a group made up of all the ladies from St. Stephen's. St. Anne's provides a great service to the church by providing candles, altar breads, flowers for the altar, and other supplies for the altar. In addition, the ladies provide gifts for First Communion, Confirmation, and Graduation, host an end of the year pizza party for the PSR classes, provide funeral dinners for the families of deceased parishioners, as well as providing stipends for Masses offered for deceased parishioners. St. Anne's is also always ready to help as special needs arise in the life of St. Stephen's.
St. Anne's provides all of these things by holding various fundraisers and drives, including their yearly saladless salad luncheon, rummage sale, basket raffle, and Cookie Walk. Revenue is also obtained by collections for flower memorials, the offerings given for votive candles, the SCRIP Program, and other donations. Another source of funds for St. Anne's is Goodsearch.com, which donates for each search done by St. Anne's supporters.
St. Anne's SCRIP Program is a great way to support St. Anne's without spending a dime! St. Anne's purchases various gift cards from national and local merchants at a discount. Supports purchase these gift cards at regular price. The difference is profit for St. Anne's!
Please remember to purchase SCRIP cards for both your gift-giving and shopping needs. Gift card holders are available to make your shopping as easy as possible.
Gift cards are available at the SCRIP table by the South entrance after weekend Masses. Contact Erin Pierce for more information at [email protected].

In order to share the duties that St. Anne's Altar Society is responsible for, St. Anne's uses a list of individuals willing to chair various activities. As the need arises for a chairperson, the next individual on the list takes her turn, and so the duties are rotated through the list of chairmen. A list of committees, which are made up of individuals willing to help the chairperson, are rotated in the same way. To put your name on the list of rotating chairmen, please contact Linda Etchison at [email protected].
St. Ann’s Altar Society is inviting members of the parish to join in caring for the needs of our parish by becoming an “Anonymous Angel of the Altar.” A parish member can become an angel simply by making a yearly donation to St. Anne’s to help with the charitable projects which we are responsible.
Altar Society purchases altar breads, altar cloths and flowers for the altar, as well as supplying the votive candles. They also provide the funeral dinners for families of the parish or families of those buried at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. In addition to this they provide supplies for the kitchen and contribute to the purchase of gifts for First Communion, Confirmation and Graduation and for new mothers and the newly married from our parish.
If you decide to become an Anonymous Angle of the Altar, you may do so by putting your donation into an envelope labeled “Angels of the Altar” and dropping it into the collection basket or mailing it to St. Stephen’s. If you pay by check, please make your check out to St. Ann’s Altar Society. A receipt will be provided.
The members of Altar Society will keep their Anonymous Angels and their intentions in their prayers.
